Product Information

Filemaker v12 uses a new file format that is incompatible with previous Filemaker file formats. That means that any database created with Filemaker v12 would be inaccessible with previous versions. When you use Filemaker v12 to open databases created in previous versions, it will convert them to the v12 file format, and those databases will then be inaccessible by any previous version of Filemaker.
